Landry
Landry got to spend the first four months of his puppy raising time here in Denver and has now returned to San Rafael to evaluate what his next step will be in training. Guide Dogs for the Blind always has the best interests of the puppies and dogs in mind and they work with every pup as an individual. We only got to have this little guy in our club for a short while but everyone has grown to love him. We will all miss him and look forward to hearing from his new family.
Vicki
Vicki was also recalled to San Rafael in July 2008. We never know just what the future holds for these pups so please join with us in wishing her a wonderful adventure.
Velour
This sweet young thing left for San Rafael mid July 2008 and is likely going to charm everyone she meets as she pursues her training to become a guide dog.
Dysis - Graduates 23 August 2008
Dysis was recalled to the Oregon campus for training on November 2. She has certainly left her mark on all of us, not only in the club but in the community as well. There are many people who will be interested to hear how she is doing as she moves on in her training. You go girl! And here is my tribute to her.
We just received word that Dysis will graduate on 23 August 2008. We will not be able to go to the graduation in Oregon but we hope to talk with her new person. Photos to come because, hey, I get to put up all the images I want!
Valiant
Valiant graduated on May 31st of 2008 and is now living and working in Meadow Vista, California.
Affectionately named "Prince Valiant Snugglebunny", this sweet boy was recalled for training on November 2nd as well and will make the trip to the Oregon campus of Guide Dogs for the Blind. We will surely miss you here yet we know you have many adventures ahead of you. Give it your best!
Actor
Actor graduated on March 8, 2008 and has now gone on to live in Phoenix with his new partner.
Becky and Emily went to the graduation and mentioned a stream of emotions all the way from being proud of his accomplishment to the bitter sweetness of knowing he has moved on with his life.
Eliana
Eliana returned to the Oregon campus on the September puppy truck. Some of the first things the recall dogs do while they are getting settled in is to have a "head to tail" physical exam including X-rays of their hips and elbow joints. It was during these X-rays that GDB learned that Eliana has a slight change in her hips that will not allow her to advance further in her training as a guide. She has been career changed and will be placed through the GDB placement program.
Arlen
Arlen was recalled for training in July and is one of our pups in training in Oregon. We will miss him.
Arlen graduated in June 2008 from the Oregon campus for Guide Dogs for the Blind and has now gone to live and work with his new partner in Texas. Way to go Arlen!
Apple
Apple returned for recall to Oregon in April this year. Even though she did her best, Apple was career changed and has since come back home to Denver in order to live with her loving raisers. Welcome back!
I ran into Apple just the other day walking through our neighborhood. She is looking so good and is still as happy as ever!
Mitchell - Graduates!
Mitchell was recalled for the next step in his training.
Mitchell graduated from the San Rafael campus and now lives and works near Sacramento, California.
Guava Recalled, October 2006,Graduates May 2007
Guava was recalled to Oregon for the next step in her training in early October 2006.
Guava graduated in May of 2007 and is now living and working in Chicago, Illinois.
Beauty Recalled, September 2006 and Graduated April 2007
Beauty was recalled for her formal training to the San Rafael, CA campus.

Templeton
Templeton graduated from GDB, the Oregon campus in June 2008. On the side he continues to help Charlotte find key words for describing puppies at GDB.
Templeton was transferred to another raiser family in Oregon this September because his raiser relocated outside of the region.
Glendale
Glendale has recently been recalled to campus for her formal guide dog training. She will ride on a special climate controlled puppy truck to the Boring, Oregon campus.
Glendale graduated in good order and has moved on to live and work in Montana.
Fresco: Career Change Puppy
Fresco was also recalled but he went to the main GDB campus in San Rafael, California. He flew there in the cabin of a commercial airline with his raiser for delivery to campus on Fun Day.
Not all pups raised in the program will complete their training to become Guide Dogs. Fresco was career changed recently because of health reasons.
He has been adopted by a loving family as a treasured pet.
